Now that the Democrat Socialist Party has all but succeeded in passing a far-reaching financial reform bill, the country will soon be dependant on the economics of trickle up poverty. Over the 4th of July weekend, the liberal media was up in arms over the fact that the Senate failed to extend unemployment benefits once again. When are they going to realize that taxing the productive people in society to subsidize the poor isn’t the way to spur long-term economic growth and recovery?

The government has proven time and time again that they are ineffectual when it comes to creating jobs. What the country needs now is innovation and investment, both of which the government is stifling by taxing the wealthiest strata of society and sucking out monies that would have been used for investment. Sure, people struggling to get by will go out and by goods with the government aid, but this isn’t the answer to long-term growth and prosperity. I don’t know about you, but I’m proudly brandishing my trickle up poverty bumper sticker and anxiously awaiting an opportunity to vote these progressive ideologues out of office.
